To speak about greetings, you need the appropriate vocabulary.

Universal - existing everywhere or involving everyone;
Acceptable - satisfactory and able to be agreed to or approved of;
Imply - to communicate an idea or feeling without saying it directly;
Response - an answer or reaction;
Respect (noun) - admiration felt or shown for someone or something that you believe has good ideas or qualities;
Nee - used after a woman's married name to introduce the family name by which she was known before she married;
Neutral - not saying or doing anything that would encourage or help any of the groups involved in an argument or war;
Formal circles - official group of people;
Neighbour - someone who lives very close to you.
