A great deal of companies are going green with the packaging of their products.
Traditional packaging, such as different kinds of plastic, cardboard or paper, pose a threat to the environment, because lots of energy is used up in its production. Once it goes waste, it ends up burned and thus contributes to vast amounts of greenhouse gases like methane or carbon dioxide that pollute the atmosphere.

There are a number of reasons why people should turn to green packaging. Green packaging not only reduces environmental impact but is also beneficial after it has served its purpose as the packaging materials are decomposable. Also using eco-friendly packaging allows you to reduce the amount of plastic that you use.
Such materials as bioplastics, recycled paper and post-consumer products, for example, recycled bulk bags are used for producing sustainable packaging.

Green packaging can be recycled, reused and reduced, and it not only reduces our carbon footprint, but also saves money. Recycling is more and more popular as more and people become aware of the problem and how they can help solve it.

Of course, zero waste packaging is hard to archieve, but we can minimize our negative environmental impact just by choosing the right king of packaging that's eco-friendly.

Choose true or false:

1. Once it goes waste, it ends up in the ocean.

2. Green packaging does not reduce environmental impact but it is beneficial after it has served its purpose as the packaging materials are decomposable.

3. Green packaging can be recycled, reused and reduced, but it cannot reduce our carbon footprint.
