Study the examples. Write the third conditional sentence. Write what would have happened if the situation had been the opposite.
Start with the words “But if”. Do not use short forms!
Mind the punctuation! Use British English spelling!
E.g. 1
I did not have enough money, so I did not go on holiday.
But if I had had enough money, I would have gone on holiday.
E.g. 2
I had enough money, so I went on holiday.
But if I had not had enough money, I would not have gone on holiday.
Mark did not take a break, so he was tired.
